What is Affirmation Concentration?

Affirmation Concentration is a memory card game for children and families which includes a set of 50 vibrantly colored cards focused on positive thoughts, sayings, and images that children will match, say, and repeat to encourage positive thinking and a positive self-image. Affirmation Concentration offers tools that reaffirm your child’s positive inner voice, creating a fun, daily practice of association as you discuss power words & phrases that your child will carry with him throughout life.

In a time where bullying, self-doubt, and self-esteem issues are so widespread, Affirmation Concentration is a fun way of dealing with what is going on in our children’s lives. Each time the game is played, your child will develop a love of self, reaffirm his/her value, and become more self-aware leading to confident images of themselves.

The cards come in a set of 50 (2 of each of the affirmation), beautiful illustrations with affirmations that help maintain a healthy frame of mind. Themes focus on dealing with acceptance of self, bullying, improving self-esteem, health, wellbeing, and uniqueness of self. This game also leads to fun, meaningful discussions between children and adults.

This is Our Why…

Affirmation Concentration was inspired by a student of mine. I am a kindergarten teacher. One day while having a small group intervention, my student was a little disruptive. I asked him why he was behaving in that manner. He simply looked up at me, and with a straight face he said, “Because I’m bad”. He did not show any emotion and went right back to doing his work. In that moment, I was heartbroken. How could a precious 5-year-old think of himself as “bad”. For weeks after that my heart hurt every time I thought of that conversation. I concluded that if children were given positive reinforcement and a sense of who they are at an early age, they would grow up with more a more positive self-image. I believed that this would carry over in to adulthood.

In a time where bullying, self-doubt and self-esteem issues are so widespread, Affirmation Concentration is a fun way of dealing with what’s going on in our children’s lives. Each time the game is played, your child will develop a love of self, reaffirm his/her value, and become more self-aware leading to confident images of themselves.

What We Believe

We believe that children are one of the most precious gifts we have. We love helping young minds grow. It is heart-breaking that so many children think so little of themselves. This game was created to motivate and inspire children to have a positive self-image. We believe that if we start early, teaching them who they are and what they could be, they will grow up with the confidence to take on any situation they may face while building a great self-image and worth that will carry over into adulthood.

What Our Clients

Say About Us

JaVaunda Parker (Parent)

This year my daughter JaMicah gained a lot of self confidence in believing in herself and knowing that she can do anything that she put her mind too. I will have to thank the affirmations that her teacher Ms. Palmer created for the class to say every morning like the pledge. I notice the change at home when she will start getting frustrated about things, she started quoting these affirmations. My husband and I was confused at first until we really heard what she was saying to herself. It was almost daily I can recall her saying “I am smart. I am brave. I am a leader. I am important. I am calm and peaceful. I am loved by Ms. Palmer.” It was like clockwork we heard this when she was going to sleep and scared, when her sister would upset her, even when she was challenged by something new. It gave her the push that she needs to get through and knowing that she can do it. JaMicah still to this day proclaim these affirmations on herself and even taught them to her three-year-old sister. I would like to thank Ms. Palmer for this strong foundation that she built for my daughter.

Anita Ghoram

When I first heard Ja’lynn recite her affirmations it really touched my heart. I said wow, I’m so proud of you. She said mom, “Can I say them again?” Her reciting the affirmation daily really made a big difference in her life. It helped her deal with her frustrations and have more confidence. She would get frustrated when she would get confused with some of the letters of the alphabets (b, d or p, q) or when I read a story and asked her what the story was about she would get nervous and wouldn’t say anything. I would get nervous and wouldn’t say anything. I would always tell her to be calm and always remember your Affirmations. She would say, “Okay mom” because I am smart and calm. I have been having her recite them daily and she is doing so well and I am very proud of her.
